Not only did I end up with a notebook full of ideas, advice and instruction, I also finished the day feeling confident with my Nikon and able to understand terminology which was, until then, a mystery to me. Now I can do, photographically, on purpose what I could only do by chance before!

Simon's teaching was pitched just right - combining (plain English) theory with very real, practical exercises which made it all sink in. He encouraged real camaraderie in the group so that we all learnt from each other as well. I find it much easier to learn like that, through discussions and sharing experiences.

The iconic London locations were just perfect too!

I cannot recommend Simon enough, he is a very patient and informative teacher and makes the lessons both varied and fun. He has years of experience working as a professional photographer and is generous with his time and knowledge.

I found Simon to be an excellent teacher, with a very patient, clear, and encouraging teaching style. Our lessons took place on location and were highly experiential and fun! Simon gave me the confidence to experiment with my photography, understanding of the camera itself.

I would not hesitate in recommending Simon as a fantastic teacher and guide.

I will never use my camera on auto again.

Having done a previous course, Simon extended my knowledge of photography by showing me advanced exposure and composition techniques. I was very pleased with his course and teaching style. I was buzzing after my session!!! I would definitely recommend.

Simon is an excellent teacher. I asked him to give me a one-to-one tutorial for a particular assignment. He'd put a lot of thought into what I needed and I learned a huge amount in a short time.

It was also a really enjoyable day and he gave me a huge amount of confidence. I emailed my photos during the assignment and Simon gave me great, detailed feedback. Looking forward to the next course!

As a more or less complete novice, under pressure to generate high quality photographs of the ICO's meetings for use on the Organization's website and in the Annual Review, I was immensely fortunate to find Simon,

A colleague and I had a one-day tutorial with him, during the course of which he led us patiently from an extremely basic degree of knowledge to a confident level of proficiency, encompassing all one needs to know about taking digital photos.

I am enjoying putting this newfound knowledge into practice as the designated in-house photographer, a role that I previously found slightly daunting.
